Before any more time passes, I wanted to put up the pics from our Easter Sunday at my parent’s house. And to clear up any confusion, Papa and Grandma are the Easter Bunnies. There’s no secret over here that Grandma puts together the Easter baskets and Papa stuffs and hides the eggs. There is a real reason for Easter, the death and resurrection of Jesus and his defeat and that is our true celebration. Grandma and Papa put together the fun and games for the day and we love them for it.
As soon as we got there, the kids were hovering over the baskets. Thank goodness they know how to read their own names and went directly to their own basket. Beach towels, board shorts, goodies, and something special was the order of the day.
Chunk is a full on toddler these days, toddling everywhere he wants. And a bubble machine added to the fun.
A quick shot before the stampede.
Does anyone remember what is in the eggs?
Any guesses?
Dessert time. The only time they were all settled and quiet.
Answer: This basket of loot was filled with $$$$. Each egg had mostly quarters but those add up real quick.
I didn’t get any shots of the big kid game this year. My dad the “Game Maker Extraordinaire” had us answering questions, passing eggs, strategizing and competing. Uncle Mike stood in for one of my brothers and wowzers, did he ever make the game funny. We got the big prize and I’ve been playing with it ever since. Even though after Mr. Dunbar set it up for me I couldn’t get past the opening screen. But I’m a pro now. And Dad, for the second part of the prize we want tickets to the next Freeway Series. Thanks!!!!
