Sucked in

I got sucked into the Twilight series.
I've been contemplating reading them for a while, since I am such a scaredy pants I've put if off for over a year, but at the recommendations of plenty of friends, I figured I would check it out, just to see what all of the rage is about. So for the past 3 and a half days I've been reading (along with holding a sick child, yet again), and reading. I am going to get the next book in a few days. Right Erin? Casey? Kim? Somebody?

My Twilight thoughts: Definitely a plot I would have never, could have never, come up with. Ever. Makes you wonder if the person you're sitting next to at the airport is human or not. Edward was intriguing. I am infatuated with his whole intrigue with Bella. I'm not sure if I was reading too fast, but I thought the end of Twilight was a little abrupt. I wish, there was a scene with James and Edward and another with Bella and Charlie. But still, I am interested to see what transpires in New Moon.

The Cullen's way of living, in some sort of twisted way reminded me of being a Christian. Putting off what is easy and what you desire for fun for the good of something bigger. Am I the only one who felt like that?
But, its official, I'm a fan. Now I need to get Netflix or something to see the movie.

I'm not sure if I would read them. I am more into Nicolas Sparks books. I have been thinking about seeing the movies.

I read all 4 books within 2 weeks. I LOVED them and was so sad to not have another one to read. I thought books 1 & 4 were the best :)

I read all four in 2 weeks too. Brad said I neglected my family. He laughed at me all the time. I stayed up every night reading into the wee hours. I could not put them down. Love it! Love it! Love it! On the last book I had about 50 pages left and was dying to finish to see how it was all going to end so I sent Brad out on a walk with the kids. I still go back and read some of my favorite parts. I'm such a loser. Oh well!

Here I was worried about you! :)
"Sucked in" is a perfect title. Wonderful books (#1 my favorite) --mediocre movie. Edward rocks. Grin.

I am still not on the Twilight train. I don't know why b/c I usually jump into things that everyone loves. Glad you're enjoying it.

PS: Loving the new blog look w/ the 3 columns and all.

I totally was skeptical of reading them...if you asked me if I would like to read about a vampire high school love story, I'd think you were crazy, but like you I got sucked in and became an instant fan!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment!!! We would love to see you guys soon!

loved the movie! so now i'm reading, too. hate doing it in that order; much better to read first and create your own mental images... anywho, it was great! :)
