Two fingers majorly sprained.
X-rays taken, no completely broken bones.
Thank goodness. The doctor said one wrong move with too much pressure and the bones would surely snap, so now all I'm all bandaged up for ten days. The splint itself is pretty neat, it's hardened fiberglass (the white part) the nurse told me its basically a half cast, and boy was she right, I could knock somebody out with this thing and it goes half way down my forearm. The doctor came in afterward, she didn't want me to drive home by myself, I told her, "I'm a mom, I'm used to driving with one hand." She laughed and let me go.
I slept with this splint on and my hand feels drastically better than it has in 3 weeks. (Monkey pulled me down in a parking lot (we were a beautiful sight) and then I tried catching afalling pot the other night, which was the deal breaker.

Ouch. Ow. I hope you feel better soon. PS: Did you get this from all your blog makeover work? ;)
Oh, heavens-to-Betsy! And your right hand, too?! (Diapering must be an interesting process). Well, sounds like your "keeping calm and carrying on". Speedy recovery!
PS--I just now grinned thinking about your word for the new year! Go figure. Maybe for now you're to "be still and know that I am God" :)
So sorry to hear that you have a major owie! Okay no cooking for you for 10 days. Let's take Scott to Spaghetti Factory. Brad and I still can't stop laughting about that one! Hope you feel better soon!
Kim M..
I'm so sorry to hear about your injury! Hope you have a quick recovery! :)
Oh Bummer!!! That just stinks girlfriend, but maybe you'll be able to get out of doing household things, like cooking, cleaning etc... just milk it I'd say! LOL
Goodnesss!! SO sorry! hope you are better soon!!
Blessings! (and a few feel better soon prayers too!)
Jill
Oh my gosh! Girl, I am bringing you dinner this week. I will call you tomorrow.
Hope you have a speedy recovery...
well that just stinks. speedy recovery!
Oh what a bummer. It really is tough when your hand that you are so used to using is limited to what it can do! I cut halfway through my thumb and thumbnail making dinner one night when Claire was 2 weeks old. I had stitches and a huge wrap on it, and it was so hard to change a diaper, or fix my hair!
Hope it heals fast! Let me know if you need a "blow out" or something. My salon isn't too far from you I don't think. :)
Girlfriend!!!! I leave you alone for a week, and look what happens!!! What the HECK????? So I agree with Sash and Cathy, all diapers go to Scott, especially poopey ones. Call me if you get stuck and I will come and help. The school is literally right around the corner! ;) Does this mean we are having pizza next week? SERIOUSLY, I don't need dinner THAT bad if you are this injured. Heck, why don't you come and we'll call Pizza Time and sip something yummy???? I have you tempted now huh?!? Call me, we'll chat.
Ahhh, bummer! What are the chances...I love your comment about driving though, so true :)
ooouch!
so sorry!
hope you heel and feel better soon! :)
Poor you:-( I hope that it is feeling better now being in that cast. I'm right there with Kim, I say let's all take Scott to Spaghetti Factory... he'll love it!!! If you need anything, let me know.
Get better, girl! No fun...
I hope it heals quick for you:) I won't even tell you to take it easy...because I know I wouldn't listen to that and surely I know you probably aren't either...I do hope for a healthy and great recovery with it so it gets stronger though:)
OUCH!!! Speedy recovery please! I don't want to experience Mrs. Dunbar blog withdrawal. In all seriousness, I hope you're feeling better soon.
