snip, snip, snip

(thanks for all your well wishes about my hand! we are moving slowly, but i'm sure it's on the mend.)

and just for memory's sake...

bogie had his first real haircut last week. he did really well, especially since the liitle boy ahead of him was screaming, and hitting. yikes. every-body! my boy's just stared wide-eyed. but they were both champs when they got in the chairs, well in bogie's case; the jeep.

do you get your kids haircut at a salon? or do you do it yourself?

cheers!

My daughter got one last week, and my son has been getting one at a barber shop since he was 3. Before that he had no hair. I keep my girly's short in a chin length bob with bangs - I get so many compliments on it.

My oldest was a nightmare with haircuts. He would cry (that pathetic cry) through the whole thing. It was so bad that my husband took to cutting his hair for a while (nightmare). Finally he got used to it. The other two kids go to my hairdresser.

He looks like a big boy! I know you probably don't want to hear that but he is so handsome.

Too cute. I took my kids to a salon for sure. I don't think I should use a scissors to hair at all!

My youngest is 14 months, with lots of curls, and I just cant bring myself to cut it yet..though the husband is starting to put some pressure on me :). The way the Calhoun family saves a few pennies, is I cute all of the family member's hair. I used to do my own as well, when it was long. But now, short and sassy, the money I save with the family cuts, I spend on my lucious locks! Figuring out when I can play with Christina next! Their hair looks great by the way, but if you get in a pinch and need it done, you know where I live!

Those pictures are so stinkin' cute...how adorable they are! And we definitely do the salon...I would love to do myself...but I just know I wouldn't make it work...

Your boys look so handome! I love a fresh haircut on boys. And men. I hate shaggy hair.

You probably guessed that I cut my own kids hair right? ;) I usually do it at home after their baths when it's still wet. I cut Hannah's today actually, and Claire has yet to have her first haircut.

Hope your fingers are healing up nicely.

You were just around the corner from me! I had Genn cut Sammy's hair, I could never do it myself, however I did snip T's faux hawk! When I did his hair a while ago it reminded me of the way whale's fins curve when they are in captivity (Free Willy) and his faux hawk totally did that, so I had to snip it! Sammy had to wait till she was 2 1/2 for her first cut and T got his at 8 months! Go figure, should have been the other way around!

Ahhh, look at your handsome little men! Can't wait for Kayden to get his first cut. Don't think it will be ANY time soon!

Old fashioned barber shop. I had a love/hate relationship when the boys were younger because haircuts always made them look so grown up. Yours look so handsome and clean-cut (and grown up) :) [ps--when I saw your title, I thought YOU went short!]

I love haircuts...at the salon that is. My girls have to go there. I am truly afraid of what my Edward Scissorhands would do.

your boys sit sooo still! (or its appears they do in the pictures)
we take him to the salon and I cut it sometimes. his hair grows so much that he needs a hair cut almost every month!

How cute!! I'm hoping to take both of my girls for their first real haircuts very soon, you know, like yesterday! I've already spoken with my hairdresser about it, I'd figure I'd just take them to her. My oldest has curly, curly hair, and I've cut it once with all of my fingers and toes crossed. I did not want to screw up her hair. My youngest has straight hair, and I've given hers a few trims already. They need a pro though, and soon, hahah!!

Sorry to read about your fingers, I hope you heal very fast! I couldn't imagine doing all that a mother does without all of my fingers!!

I pay to get my kid's hair cut. I would just make a terrible mess of their hair!
