Monkey, No longer a Pre-Schooler

Well, my Monkey is officially done with Pre-School. Officially. Done.

Oh my. It’s off to the Big League’s now—Kindergarten. But I’m getting ahead of myself here because we have all summer.

 

T-Ball is over as well. Next year he should be old enough for Farm. Oh my.

This is Coach Doug. We all learned a lot from him this season. Monkey learned true baseball fundamentals. Daddy learned unfamiliar baseball dynamics and how to practice them with Monkey. (Mommy swings like Douglas and has been awarded the Bench Seat.) Mommy also learned that not all Coaches are lovey-dovey -“Way to go!”-even-when-the-kid-didn’t-do-so-well and kids will still thrive, especially Monkey. He was one of the better kids on his team, thanks to his determination his technique is really sharpening up. This was a growing season for all of us and I think we all came out the better for it. As the season drew to a close I really appreciated all Coach Doug taught us.

The last end of the school year performance at pre-school. My guy is a star.

After they perform the kids find they’re parents and watch a slide show of the year. Monkey, of course, snuggled right up to daddy. Then he waited patiently in his classroom to receive his class award. He had the best teachers this year. They were encouraging, creative, and loving. I really adored them.

My sweet sweet boy.

One more smile.

Because the pre-school hair has gone buh-bye.

He’s all grown up now with a big boy haircut.
