Sunday Thought

Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.

Tagged X 4

I was tagged by my friend Casey.
Here's the deal:
Pick the fourth photo from the
fourth folder in your computer.
Post it and tag four other people.

This is mine.

Monkey got into the food coloring. This picture really doesn't do him justice... it was EVERYWHERE. His hands, his mouth, his hair, his legs, my floor. We were calling him the "Blue Man" for a while.
Ahh.. the joy's of parenting boys.

I tag Christian, Lisa, Lisa B. and Jamie.

Injuries put things on hold

I slammed my thumb in the car door jam. Jeeeez!! I thought I was going to throw-up it hurt so bad.
So my project is on hold.

I've been looking at this blank canvas for two days now.

Any ideas on what I should hang on here?

Kicking the habit...

I'm sure one of the resolutions on a lot of peoples lists every year is "lose weight" "eat healthy" yadda yadda yadda.

I ran across this article on Yahoo today. As I was drinking my Diet Coke for an afternoon pick-me-up. It was pretty interesting and just coincides with a few other articles I have run across in the past month.

I don't have a lose weight resolution this year, thank goodness. After nine long months all of the baby weight is gone, only the flab remains. (Just keeping it real.)

But I am going to add, drop soda, onto my list. Of course, after the two 12 packs in my kitchen are gone...
How are you doing on your resolutions thus far?

The Roost Party

The Roost is hosting a party of 10 of your favorite pictures from 2008.
I have taken so many pictures but here are a few of my highlights.
My Monkey when he was still the "baby."

Our first family picture or four.

Grandpa Elias reading with Monkey, I am so glad he got to know my boys.

Mr. Dunbar and I, on our date night.

Hot air balloon races, this was my favorite balloon of all.
Christmas morning, they were working so hard opening each gift.

My baby goes to school.

This was such a fun Halloween, our church put on the best ever Trunk or Treat.
Christmas at the Aunties, there were more cousins there than ever, and there are more on the way.

Inspiration

So Mr. Dunbar read one of my previous posts and said "You want everything in 2009!"
Of course I do. That's just me. I want. I want. I want. But it makes me happy wanting.
Biblical? Maybe not, but I don't get angry any more because I don't have, that would definetely be un-biblical. So...I have settled upon being happy, just wanting. Not every minute am I happy just wanting, but most minutes.

So my inspiration for 2009, is to be happy where I am at.

I want to be thankful each morning that I wake up and see my boys with bed head and not have to rush out the door by 7am.

I want to enjoy the fact that my husband comes home every evening with a smile on his face, whether or not dinner is ready.

I want to relish in the fact that we have a home that is ours, and I am going to put plenty of holes
in the walls this year, and some paint too.

I want to look in the mirror and think "This is me." and be completely happy with it. Hey all of the baby weight is gone and I'm 30. And a box of hair dye is only $7.

I want to walk my dogs and appreciate how they protect my boys and my home.

I want to chit chat with my friends, recall memories with my mom, and make plans with my husband.

I want to take pictures and capture the moments that are my life.

2008, was not the best year. But it was a year that I won't soon forget.

My Bogie was born, healthy. That was the greatest blessing.

Mark made the news

Mark Lamberth's story made the paper. The article in the local paper tells Mark's story and how blogging and the Internet has brought forth so many prayers for this family.
You can check it out HERE.
Thank you so much for saying a quick prayer for Mark's recovery and his wife Angie.
