Catching Up

WOW, I am so behind. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day weekend.

Our tradition is to go my mom and dad's for breakfast/brunch. My mom started to do this about 5 or 6 years ago to accomadate us and our spouses' families. We have pumpkin pancakes, bacon, eggs, potatoes and turkey and ham. It's delicious!

This is G-Man my youngest nephew and my mom.

G-Man is learning that he can swing a pretty good punch.

Bogie just kept looking at him.
My Grandma (dad's mom) and I.
This year my dad's family decided to join us, which was fun because the boys had some older cousins to play with as well as their younger cousin.

The older boys play baseball, really well.
They brought the Monkey a baseball and bat for his birthday. We're talking a real wooden bat with a hard ball. They were very patient with Monkey.
Monkey listened to all of their instructions.
The boys played baseball for a long time.

And then it was time for us to go to the Dunbar's for Thanksgiving dinner. Only I got a really bad headache. And sat at the dinner table praying the pain would go away. but it didn't. So I didn't take any pictures, not one. So bummed on that.We were home and in bed by 8pm. Seriously lights out and alarm set. The next day...

Mr. Dunbar did what he always does the day after Thanksgiving... put up Christmas lights.

On Sunday we went and got our tree.

I love this shot.
Bogie just kept on smelling the trees.
The boys liked all of the yard fixtures.
He just couldn't decide which tree to get.
Now I have a tree to decorate, bins to unload, and a house to clean. Seriously you can't even walk in here.

(Does it ever stop?)

But my house smells like Christmas, the boys are watching Frosty the Snowman as I type this and we have a surprise for the boys tonight. Good times.

Are you in the Christmas spirit yet?

Yes, the tree is up and almost decorated. Next is to snap a pictures of the boys for our Christmas card. I'd better do it soon.

Our tree is up too but waiting for lights (by husband) then trimming by all. I feel like it doesn't end until the 26th but it's fun through it all...right?
