I love the month of February. The love month. Of course it is over commercialized and Hallmark will make a killing, but I've decided to do something everyday leading up to Valentine's Day. Everyday for the next two weeks I am going to do something special for my guys, either the little ones, Mr. Dunbar, or all three, or maybe even all four of us.
This morning the boys got the love. I made Banana Pancakes into hearts.
They were super excited. And now I'm off to go wash the mounds of dishes this breakfast created.
They had fruit bowls on the side.

I haven't posted it yet, but something cute I saw on a blog last year was to make hearts or put a sticky note on the fridge, or whatever, and write something you love on it each day before Vday. We did that tonight...cute little tradition to start with the kids!
I love February as well. Usually I decorate the mantel with picts of family members on their wedding day. The ones I treasure the most are our grandparents and the rare one of my great grandparents on the day they met ~ also their wedding day. She was 14! A different time. This year, for reasons we can chat about later, the mantel is different and life is simpler for my sanity. I still love the month and all that it brings!
