It was a boy’s weekend

This past weekend was an all boy’s weekend. On Saturday I helped out with a shower for my dear friend Ali,  who will be welcoming twin boys this spring. Twin boys. They will be numbers 2 and 3 for her. The shower was hosted at my friend Kim’s house and it was so nice.

Each of the place settings had a cupcake with the boy’s names; Corbin and Cooper.

I was in charge of the raffle and games. We had to do a diaps and wipes raffle for her, of course. Can you imagine how many she’s going to go through?

Kim and I being silly. We needed a little silliness at this point.

This is what a pregnant lady of twins really looks like.

This is what she looks like when she knows you’re taking pictures of her.

Some people are so creative. This was a diaper wreath with all sorts of baby essentials; pacifiers, spoons, socks, rattles, onesies, teethers and other little baby things.

And this was my most favorite gift that she got. It was in a beautiful basket that said baby things and as she pulled it out the baby clothes were all pinned to the clothes line. Two sets of each. It was such a neat way to open a gift. So fun and adorable.

Here we are at the end of the shower.

Ali got lots of nice things, tons of diapers and wipes, and a nice afternoon honoring the arrival of Baby Boys Corbin and Cooper.

On Sunday, we had church and then some errands, and then naps (which meant more time for me to get things done), and by the time the Super Bowl was about to start I was just wiped out. So we just decided to stay home and have our own little Super Bowl party.

I didn’t even take the Valentine’s décor off the table, I simply put the football stuff over it.

It was quick, it was easy, and it was fun. Boys just like food, especially a whole table full of food.

I watched the first half and then started reading my book. Towards the end of the game Mr. Dunbar asked me if I wanted to watch the last few minutes of it and man am I glad I did. I always love a good game that comes down to the very last play.

And that my friends is a wrap.

Looks like a lovely shower for Ali. I can not imagine having twins. I hope she has lots of helping hands around. She looks great! She looks exactly like a girl that used to live across the street from us when I was little named Lacey. Every time I see her I can't get over it.

See you tomorrow for your hair at 5:30! :)

What a cute shower, and you look so pretty. I love these pictures. Baby showers are so much fun! I always dreamed of having twins, but not now, at 38 years of age.
