Friday Faves

Looks from Pinterest

As a SAHM, one of my biggest things that I DON’T want to do is fall into that SAHM Frumpy Category. Do you know what I’m talking about? She looks like she just rolled out of bed wearing something that looks like sweatpants and a t-shirt that her husband got for free at his last sporting event, or she’s always in her “exercise” clothes (but really she’s just got those on because they are super comfy and they make it look like you’re actually doing something to get rid of that baby weight.)   Either way, the look that is portrayed is, “I didn’t even give myself 2 minutes of time to get ready this morning.”

I steer clear of this look as often as possible. Of course, I always just like to be dressed. It makes me feel more productive. I’ve always lived by the motto:

Look good, feel good, do good.

There is just something about being dressed that makes the day more productive. Of course my days include running kids back and forth to school, grocery shopping, and cleaning floors and dishes… lots of dishes, some comfy put-together outfits is what I go to.

So anyhow, here are a few of my favorite outfits recently. And since it doesn’t get drastically cold where we live all of these are doable.

Exhibit A: Love the caramel colored top , the ring, the handbag, and the shoes, oh the shoes.

Exhibit B: I need a leather jacket. Love the scarf and then finished off with caramel boots. For a nice natural pop.

Exhibit C: This is so me, well not really me, but so me. Jeans, stripes and animal print. I just need a nice big gold watch. I just might have to jump on the Michael Kors bandwagon.

Exhibit D: Again, another totally doable outfit around here. Necklaces for me have been sort of obsolete, since for the past 7 consecutive years I’ve had a little little boy and little boys pull necklaces, hard. And they break. (Necklaces not little boys.)But sadly, we are moving out of little little boy stage and now this mommy is ready to accessorize. I’ve always loved the preppy look, its just so put-together, casual or dressy.

Exhibit E: Ready for spring. We intermittently have warm days around here, so shorts can be worn. But the scarf is nice since its not too hot. And I love the high bun, and of course flip flops are like a necessity. I live in them nine months out of the year.

Loved every single thing!

I bought a leather jacket this year from my happy place and so far it has been my favorite purchase! I just love how versatile it is. You need one. ;)

I love those leopard Madden flats. I think I need those.
And yup, the MK gold watch, goes great with lots, you need that too. And I'm thinking we still need to have our shopping date!! Haha.
