100 and a Cup of Joe

Hey, I've reached one hundred posts. Unbelieavable how the time flies. Well, in honor of my 100th post, I am going to host a giveaway. Now, I don't create anything on Etsy, I can't decorate anything like the Nester or Kimba, I don't have tons of money like... oh, I don't know. (But if you do have a lot of money and you'd like to share, I'd oblige.)

Anywho, back to this giveaway thingy... Oh, yea, I'm giving away a Starbucks Gift Card and something else, but I don't know what yet. I guess the second thing depends on who wins.

So in order to enter leave a comment telling me what your favorite fashion pick-me-up, decorating, cooking, or parenting trick is. Or sign up to follow this here lil blog.

If you do both you'll get five chances. Am I making this too complicated? Figures...
I'll keep the giveaway until Friday night and announce a winner on Saturday morning.

Oh to many things to share... I love to make my own chicken stock using the bones from the roasted chicken at costco...I just add carrots, onion and celery and let boil for a few hours. SO tasty. Then I freeze it! H

I make all the kids sandwiches for the week on Sunday. I put them in baggies in the fridge, then everyday I just grab one and throw it in their lunch. Huge time saver!

Congratulations! I have you on my google reader and my favorite tip. Since I have 3 kids, I think I have some pretty good tricks up my sleeve. Sometimes it's good for mommy to take a time out too. When things get crazy and I'm about to lose it, I put myself in time out, it calms me down and I can refocus AND it boggles my kids. It confuses them...gotta keep 'em on their toes.

Oooh a prize! My favorite fashion pick is a great pair of jeans. You can dress them up or down & they are way comfortable. As far as a parenting trick, I would say bribery always works :) HA HA :)

So Fun!
Alright, you know I don't cook. However in the Metzger household everything is about choices. The kids make their choices all the time with things. The kicker is that one choice is the one thing I want them to choose and the other is completely what they don't want to do. Brad and I have perfected this skill and it's a keeper. Ex. You can eat your dinner or go to bed, pick one. Luke has chosen to go to bed once. So off he went.
I don't consider myself fashionable, but great earings always get me excited. I wish I had more time to stand around and browse at them. Maybe then would I have more.

I love cooking so it always picks me up. I especially love making cakes and cupcakes. And because I am a cook, I love aprons and that's another of my pick me ups. I go out and buy a fancy cool apron.

Congratulations on your 100th post.

My favorite pick me up is to find one area and make it mine - pick up and put away, light a candle or two, put on background music and curl up with my journal or a good book. Sometimes we just need SPACE...especially as moms.
